GARY STANLEY, age 65 of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL in Nashville.

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown.

 

Gary attended Pearl River public schools and Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) and taught Industrial Arts at several NJ schools. After retirement, he moved to Tennessee where he bought and rehabilitated houses for resale. Outgoing and friendly, strong, handsome, and gentle, Gary made friends where ever he went. He loved to build and shape things with his hands and tools; recently he was the guiding force behind the building of two new cabins on the family property in Maine, where he also enjoyed fishing and the company of family and his close friends from NJ, Bruce and Gail Cecchini. He will be deeply missed, and his death has left a large hole in our small family.
