Wilma Irene (Peters) Taylor

Wilma Irene Taylor, age 85 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1934 in McCreary County, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Davis Peters and Rev. Freddie and Imogene (Terry) Peters; husband, James Edward Taylor; son, James Michael Taylor; daughter, Nola Jean Taylor; sisters, Wanda Peters Hampton and Roxie Peters Pergram; brothers, Freddie (Junior) Peters, James (Jimmie) Peters and infant Donnie Peters.

Wilma is survived by her son, Paul (Tammy) Taylor of Helenwood, TN; granddaughter, Keisha Nicole Taylor Newport and husband Gerard of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, J.P. Taylor of Helenwood and Chris Taylor of Cookeville, TN; great granddaughters, Alexis and Brooklyn Newport; sisters, Naomi Peters and Margaret Peters Bowling both of Wartburg; brother, Rev. Ronnie (Sharon) Peters of Allardt, TN; daughters-in-law, Barbara Taylor of Winfield and Mary K. Spradlin of Oneida; special niece, Elaine Draughn; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Taylor family on Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at the Winfield Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Sewell and Bro. Ronnie Peters officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Sewell.

Committal service will follow in the Kingtown Cemetery in the Winfield Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
