Funeral Tribute for Our Daddy

Our daddy loved God, his family, and restoring old vehicles. Those three things tell you almost everything about him.  There was no place in the world he wanted to be other than Jamestown, TN.

He was our hero. Our protector. A wise man with a quiet strength and a wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of making us feel safe just by being there.

He was genuine — what you saw was what you got. Honest. Steady. Faithful.

He was a master mechanic, a builder, a man who believed in doing things the right way. Self-taught and determined, there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. Whether it was an engine, a home project, or a problem in someone’s life, he would roll up his sleeves and get to work.

He had a huge heart. He loved deeply and showed it in the ways that mattered — through hard work, sacrifice, guidance, and quiet acts of kindness.

And yes, he was handsome — but more than that, he was beautiful in character.

He was our hero and our first love. The first man who showed us what strength, faith, and integrity look like. The first man who made us feel cherished and protected.

We will miss his wisdom, his humor, his steady hands, and his steady heart. But we carry him with us — in our faith, in our work, in our love for one another.

Daddy, thank you for loving God.
Thank you for loving your family.
Thank you for being our hero.
