Jimmie Choate Obituary

Jimmie Edward (Jim) Choate, age 71 of Kingston, Tennessee, formerly of Allardt, TN passed away on April 7, 2021 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born April 18th, 1949.

He is survived by his sons James Edward Choate and wife Jamie, and John Michael Choate. Grandchildren Christina Choate, Willow Jones, and Brooke Jones all of Kingston. Godson, Jaxsen Kanipes of Clinton. Brother Gary Choate and wife Connie, sisters Brenda Lee and husband Vernon, Linda South, Gail Ramsey and husband David. A host of nieces and nephews all of Jamestown, TN.

He is preceded in death by his father Bill Choate, mother Opal Edith Choate, and dog Brady.

Jim spent over 40 years in service between Roane County Sheriff’s Department, Roane County EMS, Roane County Rescue Squad, and the Y-12 Fire Department.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston with funeral service to follow immediately after. Burial will be Sunday, April 11th, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in the Allardt Cemetery in Allardt, Tennessee. All times are Eastern.
