Jackie Pedigo Obituary

Jackie T. Pedigo, better known by his friends and family as Jack, Dad, or Poppy, lost his 12-year battle with lung cancer on January 11, 2024. He was born May 8, 1945, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Hubert and Cordia Pedigo. But he spent most of his 78 years in Toledo, Ohio with his loving wife of 59 years Anna B. Pedigo, formerly Yates, another Tennessee transplant. He had nine siblings; he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Two of his brothers and one of his sisters are still living. He was brought to Toledo by his favorite uncle, Clyde Pedigo, and his wife, Hazel, for work and new opportunities. Anna soon followed. They had two children, a daughter, Anita (James) Raker, and a son, Jeffrey (Barbara) Pedigo. Jack was first employed by Hilfinger Corporation before getting a job at GM Powertrain testing transmissions where he stayed until his retirement, just shy of his 56th birthday. From then on, he spent his time living life the way he wanted. Which involved spending time with his other half, Anna, their children, their seven grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Casey), Elizabeth, Meghann (Eric), Kathleen, Emily, Amanda, and Thomas, and their great grandson: Jack. If he was not with his family, he was likely riding one of his Harleys. His best friend was his brother-in-law, Hershel Yates, who shared his love of Harleys. He also remained close to hometown friend, Brenda Goney. Jack and Anna loved to travel and traveled the globe together, visiting much of the United States, and Europe. He was also an avid blood donor. He donated blood, platelets, and plasma to the Red Cross as often as allowable until his cancer diagnosis prevented it. Yet, Jack remained the same effortlessly cool, yet also patient, hardworking, and slyly funny man he had always been. Services are planned for a later date
