Chesterlyn "ChiChi" Seesock Obituary

Chesterlyn "ChiChi" Looper Seesock, age 96, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Born May 22, 1925 to the late Chester & Stella Julia (Qualls) Looper, Jamestown, TN. She was a member of West Hills Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, TN.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents & husband Frank & her dear sister Jessie "Kitten" McCamish, Knoxville. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Grimsley & husband Jack, Cincinnati, OH; sons F. Lance "Lanny" Seesock, III & wife Wendy and John L. Seesock, Columbus, OH; two grandsons, Craig Clapham & wife Melissa and Jonathan Clapham & wife Yudid, Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter Anna Seesock Langston & husband Ethan, Germantown, TN; four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Lucas & Beckett Langston; Lily Marie Clapham; niece, Patricia Donohoe & husband John, Yarmouth Port, MA; two nephews, Joseph McCamish & wife Cheryl and Bruce McCamish, Knoxville; great-niece, Alyse McCamish and great-nephews Patrick, Thomas & John Donohoe.

She was Communications Director at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH. She taught voice and piano and was a church soloist in both Tennessee and Ohio. After 32 years in Bexley, OH, Chesterlyn and Frank retired in 1989 back home to Tennessee.

Chesterlyn loved working on family genealogy, building on the work begun by her father Chester Looper and his cousins Ernest Allred and Spurgeon Looper, maintaining legends and records dating back to the early 1600's. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and various genealogical and historical organizations.

She was a graduate of the Class of 1942, York High School, Jamestown, TN; attended Ward-Belmont, Nashville; Fairmont-Casements, Ormond Beach, FL and University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN.

Until her health prevented it, she delighted in the yearly reunions with her family cousins in Overton County; her high school class, in Jamestown; the annual July luncheons with Columbus friends, and attending the church in Columbus, where she invited Christ into her life, Chesterlyn was an avid reader, Vols football and basketball fan and loved Bible study. She missed her church family and the good Bible teaching when she was no longer able to attend, God blessed her with a loving family and wonderful neighbors and friends.
