God bless this man and his history. Over the years I have followed different stories of the York family, especially his father. I know that with George's passing, many memories and stories go with him. May his family be comforted by the prayers and love of many.

Sorry for the loss of the man that brought me to God and saved me at Fatherland street church of Nazarene ,brother York you will be extremly missed I love you , glad I came by and saw you and Gerald in October 2015 in pall mall on my way home from the Smokey Mountains , I was so thrilled to see you tell Claire hello for me I will see one day again.RIP

I am sad to hear of the passing of George. I worked with him at the Tennessee Dept of Public Welfare in the early 1970'a as secretary in the foster care unit. I have great memories of him.

We always enjoyed Ed when he visited the Nazarene Church in Bowling Green. My brother, Bertis Clark, from West Virginia , had the video of Sgt. York. He visited me a few years ago and was so excited to meet Ed, and Betsy. He gave my brother several memories to take home. ...especially pictures with my brother. He will be missed by so many. Our loss is heaven's gain.
