It was such a shock to hear of Billy's passing. He had called me about two weeks ago and I was surprised though happy to hear from him after so long - - no reason except just the passage of time. He was laughing and remembering some of the pranks played while he and my boys were supposedly "working" for Rick, of swimming at the lake and using our boat to help get the attention of "the ladies" on shore, and going on vacations and camping with us. He wanted to talk to Josh and wondered if Josh would care for him to write. I assured him Josh would always want to know what was been going on with him and and Billy kept saying "we were brothers. man"! No matter what has happened or how much time has passed "he's my brother and always will be"! Billy was around our home so often from the time he and Josh went to school at Allardt in the 5th grade that he became an integral part of our family. That infectious laugh and grin of his endured him to a lot of people who will forever remember him with a lightness of heart and will be grateful to have known him. Katie and family - I pray your burden will be lightened by the knowledge that Billy was definitely a loving, caring , son ; a proud and protective father; and a dedicated friend - not only to Josh, Jason, and Scott Rich but to so many others as well. Thank you and your family for sharing him with all of us. May the Lord look down upon you and lightened the burden of your sorrow and allow you to feel the joy of having had him as a part of your family-no matter the shortness of time. God bless all of you.
