This is the older part of the building of Jennings Funeral Home.  This building was constructed in 1906 as the home of Benjamin Anderson and Martha Paralee {Guffy} Greer.

In 1946, Mrs. Greer sold the house to Chester and Stella Looper, and the front of the house was remodeled to become Looper and Qualls Funeral Home, operated by Chester and Stella Looper and Clarence Qualls from 1946 until about 1957.

This is a photograph of the Looper and Qualls Funeral Home in 1950.  In 1959 the name was changed to Jamestown Funeral Home, and was operated by Bill Hunt, later operated by Everett Smothers, Morris Cambell and other partners. In 1964 a chapel was added to the south side of the original building.  In 1972, Morris Campbell purchased the property from the Loopers.

On April 17, 1977, the property and business was purchased by Billy H. and Carol Jennings.  The name was changed to Jennings Funeral Home in January of 1978.  Other additions came in 1980 and 1989.
In January of 1982, we completed our chapel in the Clarkrange community, Jennings Funeral Homes-Clarkrange Chapel..
