1906
This is the older part of the building of Jennings Funeral Home.
This building was constructed in 1906 as the home of Benjamin Anderson and
Martha Paralee {Guffy} Greer.

1946
In 1946, Mrs. Greer sold the house to Chester and Stella Looper, and
the front of the house was remodeled to become Looper and Qualls Funeral
Home, operated by Chester and Stella Looper and Clarence Qualls from 1946
until about 1957.

1950
This is a photograph of the Looper and Qualls Funeral Home in
1950. In 1959 the name was changed to Jamestown Funeral Home, and
was operated by Bill Hunt, later operated by Everett Smothers, Morris
Cambell and other partners. In 1964 a chapel was added to the south side
of the original building. In 1972, Morris Campbell purchased the
property from the Loopers.

On April 17, 1977, the property and business was purchased
by Billy H. and Carol Jennings. The name was changed to Jennings
Funeral Home in January of 1978. Other additions came in 1980 and
1989. |

In January of 1982,
we completed our chapel in the Clarkrange community, Jennings Funeral
Homes-Clarkrange Chapel.. |
In April of 2000, Jennings Funeral Homes have served
Fentress County for 23 years with a combined employee years of experience
of over 95 years.
